Love, Friends and Internet
Growing up is never easy.
As the years goes by, we have to make difficult choices, choose
different paths, and deal with losses and separations. Of
course, it's all part of the maturity process, and each time
we have to go through one of such features, we grow a little
wiser and further intelligence. But some choices don't have
to last forever, especially when it comes to decisions that
astray you away from your oldest friends, on which point each
one of you has chosen different paths. And since our real
friends are important, there's no point in leaving life-standing
friends behind. You will only forget them if you want to.
With all that we have to communicate, it won't be too hard
to find those who grew up with you. So, once located them,
what's the next best step? Simple. How about party throwing?
All right: throwing a party
is not easy. You have to find proper location, then make a
list, arrange drinks, food; sometimes there can be very stressful.
But sometimes not. And many tricks can help you reduce problems
and yet throw a fun party. First, the place: you can do at
your house, saving time and money. Use the kitchen and the
living room as base for the party, leaving the doors of other
rooms (except the bathroom) closed. That way, you will limit
the number of rooms that you will have to clean afterwards.
And never mind decoration; it doesn't have to have a funky
look. Just keep the kitchen and the living room as clean and
safe as possible.
Now, let's talk about expensive
stuff: drinks and food. First, bear in mind that inevitably
you will have to spend on it. But can always save a little
for the morning after scraps. About drinks, a good idea is
to choose simple drinks. Never buy expensive booze or anything
like that. Just go by cheap ass beer and off the peg plonk.
After all, in a party with friends you won't have to impress
anyone. The same goes with food; instead of spending on fancy
gourmandize, just make something up and arrange it nicely,
beggars cant' be choosers anyway - that will do.
So, aren't there reasons
to forget old nags? Throw a little get together, with drinks
and aperitifs, and the rest will follow. Just don't let old
friends get left behind - often they're the most valuable
ones.
